Shepherd Park Elementary & Recreation Center Mural Project
In 2020, as a part of the renovation to the 1930’s historic Shepherd Elementary School & Recreation Center in Washington, D.C., I collaborated with Andrew Antonaccio on an exterior mural incorporating several of my photographs. The mural can be seen on the street side of the building facing the surrounding residential neighborhood. These new additions and renovations transformed the original inaccessible, weeded asphalt slope into a multipurpose facility. This mural now serves as beautification for the exterior of the building, where community members gather for weekday educational programming and after-hours community activities.
